Another day, we climbed to the top of Forest Falls and saw the waterfall. I unfortunatly "forgot" my swimsuit, so I didn't go in. However, the rest of the gang jumped in the freezing water, and I took pictures of them screaming in pain. I like hiking up there because the mountain air smells so good. And the mist from the waterfall is always refreshing.
We didn't get around to going to the beach like we planned, but we did have a party for Brigham were everyone came and got to meet the little guy for the first time.
And the last thing we did while we were there was go to Joshua Tree National Park. We spent an entire day climbing around on boulders. The landscape is really something...it was amazing to see such huge rocks balancing the way that they did. While we were out there, we also found "The Queen of the Desert" an old mine. All of the entrances were welded shut with bars, but we found one that someone had cut with a saw. So, being us, of course we went in. Using just the light from our camera, we scooted our way down the tunnel. After coming to a fork in the road, we decided we better head back so we wouldn't get lost. Ted picked up a piece of quartz and took it home with us to see if he could find any gold inside. No luck so far...
